Hi there Steve. Well my feeling is this: Knowing that the body is amazing and wonderous in so many ways, and has an even more miraculous and wonderful way of healing itself of any ills, i'm going to give it all the time it needs. Whatever…

Thanks for the new group! Having been brought back from the dead during my heart attack, I'm wondering how others feel about their futures and how they would react if they had another one.For some reason I am obsessed with this question.I am a quality not quantity of life guy, but at the moment how are you going to know? Then what happens if you survive but are in a state where you do not have good quality of life?So many questions....and no answers!SteveSee More

I had a n.d,e, 2 years ago July 10th. I had a major heart attack and died for 28 seconds on the Cath. Lab table. I remember being above the room and looking down on all the activity. I was feeling no pain like I had seconds earlier. I felt good, I…

Steve, have you ever heard of Chelation Therapy? It's done by IV. A lot of heart patients do it and swear by it. I don't know the specifics of what it entails, but I definitley recommend checking it out. Hope you had a good holiday.

I have had 2 major set backs since my heart attack. Although I am on blood thinners and cholesterol meds and have drastically changed my diet and lifestyle my heart disease keeps progressing. I have had 3 angioplasties since then. Setbacks are hard…

Steve, I absolutely think you are in the right place. Although I had cancer, I think all survivors share a particular understanding or sensativity for others. Don't ya think there's just something about people who've been through…

Welcome! That's one hell of a story. So they just left that one clogged artery that was beyond repair alone I guess.

Brief Bio (as it relates to your experience)
I had my first small heart attacks in Bristol TN. Went to the races anyway and drove home to Madison WI. 14 hours straight through. Went to work the next day and had left arm pain so bad I could not raise my arm. My jaw hurt like I had ingested more caffeine than I had in my life. I had no chest pain. Called my Doc and he advised me to call 911. I was 1 mile form the hospital so I drove myself. Got in the emergency room handed the lady my insurance card and had the big one right there. Was rushed right to the Cath lab and was on the table for 6 hours. They installed 5 stents in 2 major 100% clogged arteries. I was in ICU for 5 days and they went in again to finish the other arteries. They discovered that one of the arteries the fixed earlier had clogged and there was no repair for it. They installed 6 more stents and I spent another week in the hospital.

Don't ya think there's just something about people who've been through certain traumatic experiences, no matter what they've dealt with, that kinda "connects" them and groups them in a very similar boat, so to speak? I do. And like I mentioned, I'm a cancer survivor, and I may offer advice from a different perspective. :)

Anyway, as far as your "not feeling as if your getting better", theres a good video on here, "The Acid-Alkaline Balance", I believe it's called. You may want to check that out.
