Having your child vaccinated should be a choice, say some area anti-inoculation activists and parents. But if you expect to send your infant or preschool-age child to a South Jersey daycare center next month, know this: New Jersey Department of Health and Human Services says come September 1, no shots, no school.

I did ask my son's pediatrician about this and he said that it is a very safe vaccine. He also said that the vaccine helps to prevent the flu and yet if the child still gets the flu with the vaccine, the symtoms are more mild. You can bet that I will be getting the flu vacccine for my baby boy! You cannot give the flu vaccine to children under 6 months though, so he will not be getting the vaccine this year. Thanks for the article Rob!

I agree, I think it should be mandatory at that age.
A kid's immune system takes time to properly form, and may not yet be able to handle something as dangerous as the flu
