A few weeks ago, a Texas pastor was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. My prayer is that his family has sufficient Health Insurance to cover the surgery and upcoming treatments. Many times churches only offer Short Term Insurance for pastors. I hope that you will pray for this family as they adjust to this news and pray that the church will help with any financial burden that this may place on the family.
This sort of thing is also a reminder to churches to provide health and disability insurance in case something like this happens. The last thing that a church wants to have to live is that they have failed to care for their leader.
