Response to Nurses offer tips for surviving a hospital stay

As for my response to the article, "Nurses offer tips for surviving a hospital stay", I must refer to my recent hospital stay last year. I did write a brief blog,"A scary situation", where I brought to light the importance of knowing and communicating a list of current meds you're taking.
But something I didn't write is of the upmost importance too, which goes along with #5; "If you think something is wrong, don't back down".
My last day at the hospital, while waiting for my final release papers, the nurse brought me a wheelchair to transport me to the car. The one they brought me was missing the left arm rest and part of it's leg brackets. So not only was it broken and missing parts, it was a childrens wheelchair that I barely fit into. They told us that "this is all we could find." My mother, with me at the time, a nurse herself, recognized that that's no way to release a patient and insisted, for safety sake at the very least, they provide another that was not broken. They finally did. "If you think something's wrong, please don't stay quiet."
